8" pattern welded blade
Black canvas micarta with spacers
Nickel silver hilt
Randall type sheath

The blade came dull so I used my Lansky jig at 20 and 25 degrees to sharpen it. Very hard material but took scary sharp edges. Etched the blade with Radio Shack ferric chloride. Maybe I'll call this one the "Lobbyist";)

its always interesting to me to see an assymetric handle with a symmetric blade. The guard shape is difficult for me to like but I LOVE the texture/tone of the handle along with the blade pattern/finish. Nicely done.

Thank you fellas for the kind words. Appreciate the comments on the large hilt. Next one will be in 3/16" brass and tapered towards the ends. 1/4" ivory micarta center piece with 3/8" maroon slabs outboard for the handle. Some nickel silver and black for the spacers. Decorative tooling on the sheath. Have the blade and all the parts in hand.
