This is my first tactical attempt. I used a blade from a spring tooth farm implement. It is a high carbon steel. I did the spark test and boy did the sparks fly. I did a clay coated differential harding. It did produce a Hamon but I am still working on how to make it really show. I have to buy some Ferric chloride to etch with. Any tips on how to make the hamon show would be help full. I am reading Don Fogg's finishing tutorial. I set the bevel by forging and the rest was done by grinding.
