At one time fifty knives a year were made in my shop. I considered that a good effort.
These days if I can get one a month completed, it has been a good month.

Anyway, this is knife number two:)
The blade is forged W2 with 416 stainless hardware. G-10 spacers with a buff horn ferrel. The burl is black ash. OAL is 10 1/2 inches.

I do find there are benefits to making fewer knives; one is I get to spend more time with my son.

Maybe the quantity is down but the quality certainly hasn't faltered!.
Nice looking piece!

Fred,

I know how you feel. I have spent so much time making knives that the world just seemed to pass me by.

Maybe its time us old "Geezers" stopped (or at least slowed down) and smelled the roses.

I like it, you did a nice job on it Fred.
And any maker is going to get to the point of slowing down or just stopping some day?
I don't care who you are.:)
We just don't last for ever?

Hope you have another good month making knives. -:D

Its good to hear from so many friends and fellow knife makers. I thank you for your post and kind words.

Fred, that is a true beauty! I love everything about it, especially the blade finish and the spacing on the handle. Nice stuff.
