And its quite different from my usual style, by the way!
This is the first forged knife I get to finish - Even though I have been forging since 2001, I never finished a single blade for a reason or another.
It was made of a 5160 steel bar and has been selectivelly heat treated, wich gave it a nice visible (not much on this pic, though) temper line then hand sanded up to 400 grit. I etched the ricasso area and the back of the blade - wich I made rounded for confort - so it contrasts with the bright sanded area.
The handle is my typical cord wrap over slabs of cunduru wood wich is deep red in color, all resin soaked.
This is not a heavy use knife but it is super light will handl small chores very well.
I am very glad with the result of this project and am already working on more forged stuff, as well as non-forged knives, and hope things finally got calmer for me to get back to the shop.
Let me know what you think about it.
