My second knife

Here's my second attempt. The fit and finish were a little better than the first. I used Makora wood for the handle instead of micarta. The wood is much softer. The design of this knife is less attactive to me in it's final form than in my imagination. I wish I had brought the rear edge of the grind up higher. I also wish I had rounded the leading edge of the handle. The flat edge looks crappy to me. My next attempt will be a persian that I designed with bolsters and giraffe bone handles. Thanks for looking!

Mr. Barron, sorry no sheath yet. It may be a while till I get to that.

Psycho78, It's not gold plated. It's just the lighting.

Thanks for looking.

Looks very good, I see your already getting that "last scratch, or I could have done this better it's driving me crazy syndrome"! Realy, looks good and like you said a few small changes would make it outstanding. That will come with experiance, and looks like your off to a great start.

Barker,
Looks sweet...I hope my second real knife turns out half that good..

BTW...If ya need help making the sheath, shoot me a PM

Barker, that knife looks GREAT, very usefull design, love that wood, where do you get it?

J.D.,
I got the wood when I went to Blade. I've only got enough for one more set of scales. Thanks for the positive feedback everyone and thanks for looking!
