This was a collaboration knife made with a buddy of mine. We were making it for a friend of both of us, and he has close ties to Mexico, hence the woodburning. JAG stands for Jaegar and Guerrero. Jaegar means hunter in german, Guerrero is warrior in spanish. This was developed by my buddy when he heard my forum alias.

Tell me what you think, good or bad. I'll appreciate any comments I can get. The handles have poly on them, My bud wanted this although I do not personally like it. It's spar varnish so it will stay for a while.
Thanks for looking

Looks pretty good, especialy for your second. The only thing I would like to see would be more conturing on the handle-looks like it's got kinda square corners, to me needs to be rounded a little more on the corners, and a little larger gaurd, but that's personal preferance. I do like the looks of the oak, and the wood burning adds a nice touch.

No way you can stop now, your fully addicted!

What those guys said, plus I think it's really cool that your second knife is a collaboration with one friend as a gift for another. I like the woodburning idea too, that has all kinds of possibilities. How's it cut?

By the way, thanks for the language lesson. I always enjoy learning what these terms mean and finding out what someone's handle is all about.

Great work! It's cool that you and and friend worked on that one. Which of yall burn on the eagle and serpent emblem?

Yes, you fellas are getting off to a good start. First step of the journey, fellas. Now, you are hooked! What are you planning for on your next one?

My buddy did the woodburning, I do it also, but he has had more experience. You don't cut anything on the wood, you just have a piece of equipment, very similar to a sautering (sp?) iron. It heats up hot enough to burn the wood, and you have several tips of different type to burn with.

Since it was a birthday gift for the other friend, we had a deadline to meet. That deadline has long gone, so we had to hurry to finish it up. Otherwise, I probably would have waited for my thumb to heal, and would have shaped the handle more. Since I didn't have the luxury of waiting on my thumb, I went ahead and turned it over to my bud, who finished it up. I'm currently working on a sheath, havent' decided whether to tool it or not.
Thanks for the comments.

For the next, it will be similar, with a few major changes. It has diamond checkered G10 handles, the same style handle, but it is put together with torx screws. It is a half inch shorter, to make it legal carry in public. There is also a cooler grind on the blade, and the little protusion on the spine is a little farther down, and is longer. It is a modified clip point. You can view it on the front page of my website: www.geocities.com/jagknives, although it still has some work to do on it. Yeah, I know it's early for a website, but you have to start sometime! :D I'm making that one on my own, but I hope to do another collaboration project in the future, this one was fun :)
