I haven't been on here in awhile since I received my ZDP-189 Leek which I wasn't satisfied with. Sharpening it was out of my league so I took the suggestion of a fellow forumer and sent it to Kershaw after asking them to exchange the ZDP-189 blade with a S30V Random Leek (partially serrated) blade and it came back RAZOR SHARP!!!!!
I really sincerely hope that they start making this knife. It's not only sharp (only knife sharper was a Sebenza that I've handled), but it looks great because the blade and handle now match tones (color) and it's light because of the titanium handle. It's a great knife and is very handy for EDC'ing now unlike the ZDP-189 which I had a problem even slicing plastic on packages (albeit thick plastic, but still plastic none-the-less).
Anyways fellow knife-a-holics... this is something you need to petition for at Kershaw and if Thomas is tuning in... please pass this idea up the ladder because it's phenomenal. I've used four different styles of Leeks and this is by far the most useful!
Thanks,
Ryan
P.S. If you didn't catch on after the first paragraph, I'm not the first one to do this by the way... ;-)
