My settings or just how forum is?

Is there some kind of setting I have wrong or is this just how the forum is set up? Every time I visit, when I get ready to leave I mark the forums as read. It seems when I return however that there are always threads with new replies mixed in with threads that don't have new replies, even several pages into a particular area of the forum. Not a big deal but just wondered if I had something set wrong or if this is just something it does? Never seen it before on any other forum I visit.

Are you looking at the Trade fourms? These don't "bump" with new posts like the rest of the forums do.

I was thinking it was all of them but now that I think of it you may be right. I'll have to pay attention to that on this visit.

Upon further looking it appears you are correct in your theory. Any ideas why the sale forums don't bounce new replies to the top? Seems to make it harder to find certain threads.

That was a deliberate change made to even things out a bit. Some people were bumping their threads with "E-mail sent" or "P.M. replied to" several times a day to keep them at the top.

You can subscribe to specific threads and find them in your profile (if you don't want to simply bookmark them).
