Hello yall new to this spyderco forum !

I just wanted to get someones attention may possible the owner and some vereran spydie users lovers and fans.I have my sharpmaker i bought when i was 18 years old in a pile of junk inside my basement along side some custom leather and kydex made some time ago...also some other blade and vendor booklets from ancient times ..lol..
Anyway quickly to my point what kind of warranty does spydieco offer on there proven to be usefull products....anyways since i was younger i had not a clue how to use it but now i've dusted off the old SHARPMAKER and used to to polish up a semi-dull blade.
anyways i've junked all the fantastic wares and opted to just use their sharpening stones.amirite?

On something like the Sharpmaker I'm not sure what they would warranty? The rods will wear over time and or chip if banged or dropped. That's normal wear and tear which I can't imagine would be a warranty item?

Maybe if the base has warped or cracked?

Ive got a chipped rod as well.. Its on the end and really doesnt affect it, so I never worried about it..

Rods are not covered under warranty, because they do wear out and replacements can be purchased. I don't know about the base-it wouldn't hurt to call and find out. If it is available they will hook you up with one, but it's possible you'll just have to buy a new kit. On the upside you'll have extra rods on hand. If it's a really old one you also might have the one with only the 40 degree slogs, the new ones have 30 and 40 degree slots.

The white ones aren't supposed to wear out, only the brown ones. But chipping would likely be considered wear and tear.

Check ebay if you have to replace some parts yourself.
