I can't believe it. Waiting for this knife is the toughest part. This knife is really beautiful and sharp. The handle is ingenius. It is very comfortable. The micarta looks nice and I can get a good grip on it. I really love the way the blade cuts. It something like the CS Vaquero blade except this looks classier and have a better steel. One thing I notice on this knife that I have not seen yet on any Spydercos is the Clip. The clip is attached in tip up position over the pivot screw. Now they added a small hole right over the screw so one can tighten to adjust the tension. Pretty smart guys. Now Sal for some odd reason my blade tilt over to the right a little in the close position. Not to the point that it is touching the liner. Just a concern. Overall a beautiful job. Thank you.

I had my Shabaria for a few weeks now - beautiful knife.
I believe the blade to handle ratio is one of the best I've ever seen

The problem - it looks "MEAN" - and I like to carry knives that will not look bad if ever I have to present them to an officer.

The Emerson I carry daily looks harmless in comparison - but does the job nevertheless

I really like this one, too. It's got a great look about it- like there's history in the design.(actually is)

I agree that the handle feels great. Whole kinfe feels of quality. Very solid. It is kinda scary looking though to some people. My dad collects knives as well, and even he was a little shocked by the blade on it. Wicked looking and SHARP! It's right up there as one of my favorites, a bold design executed perfectly.

Any of you other Spydie freaks out there, don't hesitate on this one, you'll be seriously surprised by it.

I am also awaiting my Shabaria, although not to patiently. I am curious as to the weight, do the stainless liners and spacer make the knife a little bit on the heavy side?

I've had my Shabaria about two weeks now and I really like it. Very comfortable handle. It weighs 3.5 ounces as compared to my Random Task with titainum liners 3 ounces. So it doesn't weigh very much unless you compare it to a Calyspo lite weight at about 2 ounces. The blade is thin for it's size so that saves a lot of weight.

My Shabaria # 360 had the blade touching down near tip on the plain side of the knife.I smoothed the inside of the liner where it looked like the factory had ground on the liner some to reduce the rubbing using 400 emery paper.I then slightly tightened the pivot and put some Rem oil on it to loosen it up a little. This seems to have fixed mine.If you look down on knife you can see that there isn't a lot of room there.I'm very pleased with the design and wouldn't want the back spacer any thicker than it is,because the knife would loose the slender look of the Arabic Dagger it was influenced by. To tighten the pivot you will have to remove the clip.
