Hey fellas - well, like I said I was able to get out for a bit today. I was a bit limited as to how much I could stop and play since I had Myright Jr with me and it was just me and him

Here's a cool looking little shelter - Deer maybe?

Someone must have known I was coming and cut down a bunch of saplings for me

Here are the pics of the staffs/poles I picked out for my project. One I intentionally found a bit bigger of a diameter because I want to do some carving on it and I like them a bit bigger to use an impact/pry tool

Can anyone give me any clue as to what kind of wood it is? (I'm in Delaware)

My Leatherman Juice came in handy - that little saw sure cuts great !!!

Cool pics, I like that area. Sorry...No help with the ID, The rough barked one looks familiar but I'm not sure what it is.

Thanks for taking the time to help fellas - I'm going to try and do some more research on the area and see where that takes me.

Thanks!
