all 25" of her. I don't know how much she weighs but it's more than my 18" WWII. Now I have one each by the brothers. This horn handled beast by Sher has left the realm of big knife and entered the land of short swords. I was a little nervous trying her out because of a crack in the handle, but I went for it anyway. This thing will chop. I tired out faster but she bites deep. Made short work of everything I put underneath her. I put her away when my arms started to protest, this is not the blade to get sloppy with. I have no doubt she could limb a man as easily as a tree. Beautiful blade, thank you Uncle and thank you Sher. By the way nothing happened with that crack. All I need is some hooflex and crazy glue. Should last for a thousand years.

Frank

P.S. my God that's a big blade:D

Many thanks for report from the field, Frank.

Speaking of limbing -- Somewhere we have a field report from Afghanistan where one of America's finest just about took the arm off a Taliban in a hand to hand situation with a 20 inch Sirupati as I recall.

I was thinking about that story a couple of days ago when I was cleaning my 20" by Bura. It sure would do that little job just slick as can be.

Congrats on the new blade Silverfox. I'm not sure I would want one quite that long but, I know what you mean about being a cutter. I suppose the 25" even more so.:D

A good pal, old 1LT Ranger who saw and did more in Nam than needed, wrote me that he had butchered a couple of deer he'd killed recently for winter chow. 12 hits with his WWII and 12 chunks of deer. From one who has been there he said, "I now understand how devastating a khukuri can be in combat." Says it all from one who has been there and done that.
