Celebrated my birthday yesterday, my sisters boyfriend got me an ESEE Lite Machete. I'm on vacation right now in a MD shore town, Ocean City MD. Don't think they'd take too kindly to my pruning the trees or shrubbery, but I can't wait to get home and try this out. Good feel playing with it in the apartment. Nope, haven't knocked anything over, or chopped off any limbs yet :D.

They really are awesome. I took mine out into my yard and was taking down 1" branches with one swing and little effort. I did manage to roll the edge hitting a much thicker one, but I bent it back and resharpened it.

I now own two of them. I love the thick handles.

Damn, that's an awesome boyfriend!

That's an awesome sister's boyfriend. I'm lucky to get a hello from my sister's boyfriend.

I must say, anything from ESEE is going to be awesome. I havn't heard anything but good things about any ESEE product. I love my Eskabar, and it's a ESEE/Ka-Bar collaboration.

I spent a weekend in the lighthouse in OC with a young lady. We never did seem to actually make it out to the beach. . . . but that's a great present! I mainly got attitude when I had to throw my sister's boyfriends out.

Maybe the boyfriend is using your sister to get to YOU. OMG! But hey, you get an ESEE machete out of the deal.

Great score .....
THe ESEE lite Machete is a fantastic tool ,coupled with a smaller fixed blade or favorite folder would be a great set up

here's mine :D

I find myself buying my brother in law blades, being so into knives gets him nervous that I'll think it's garbage

I've had some blades in mind for him. Everyone kids around at the holidays or birthdays, they know I'm going to give them a knife. He is a machete and sword nut, everyone kids my sister because her boyfriend and I are a lot alike. He's good people. Not just because he gave me the machete either ;).

He's a new member here, trying to get him to come hang out in WSS. He will try to make it to Scott Gossman's campout, I'm sure his head will explode at all of the blades there.

I gave him a Gossman PSK for his birthday. Now, all he has to do is get a deer and make some venison jerky for me.

Now, I just need to find a sheath for the machete. The ESEE sheath is a POS, I like the Ontario sheath, but not the built in sharpener. The Condor 18" machete sheath was mentioned, gonna look for that.
