On another thread I mentioned my newly acquired Skinth holder for my multitool and thought I'd just post it up here with some pics. This is the SKINTH model I chose, the "Skinth Plus," and had them add the D ring. For the price, and considering it is handmade and extremely well made, I feel $50 was a good deal. I use it to hold my Leatherman Surge, the two bit kits, the extension driver, a saw blade and a file blade. A Streamlight ProTac 90, and a Kershaw Blur knife. I'm really enjoying having everything I need about 90% of the time for the odds-ends in my gun room/office/man cave.

Riddle me this...what's the appeal of Vic products, I just don't get it? I've looked at them and can't understand what they offer that Leatherman doesn't. What am I missing?

The swisstool and swisstool spirit have all outside opening tools, all tools lock, and each tool has an individual backspring so they don't all open when you grab one. The fit and finish is nicer. Everything feels tight, smooth, and precise.
Leatherman is definitely catching up with their recent models though. The swisstools haven't really changed in a while.

Thanks, that's interesting and I can see the appeal of those features, to be sure.
