it's a very nice little knife. i can see why some people love this knife. it's just big enough for everyday small tasks, and small enough that i won't attract too much attention from people who doesn't like knives like my wife.

the pattern on the damascus is very beautiful. however, i see slight hairline scratches, nothing too major. i'm hopping when the tarnish comes back, it will not show.

the flipper works fine. i put some machine oil (not sure what type, but i use it on my shradder) on the blade and on pivot. after playing with it awhile, the blade was opening fine with slight wrist snap. after more playing time, it was opening fine with just flipper.

i have shallot that i was going to use for EDC, but didn't due to heavy weight and way it looks. shallot looks fine to me, but it looks like murder weapon to my wife. i've been carrying spyderco clipit rescue for last 14-15 yrs. i think skyline will replace that. i don't do much heavy cutting now days, and don't see any need for serrated blade.

one and only thing i don't really like about the knife is the handle around the pocket clip like everyone was saying. it's very rough on pants. i can see this ripping off the edge of my pocket quickly.

Bend out the clip slightly and that will fix your potential pants-snagging problem. Alternatively you could sand the G-10 scales underneath the clip and get the same results
