The CRKT Bear Claw is one of my favorite knives, and I wanted to personalize it a bit. I decided to try and make some wood handle scales for it and I failed miserably, snapping most of the screws in the process. I just found out that CRKT sends replacement parts for free, so I ordered some screws and started working on the knife again. I put a paracord wrap on the sheath and started cutting the scales from a piece of birch. Having roughed out the shape of the handle scales, all I need to do now is drill the screw holes and smooth out and curve the scales. I would have finished it today, but I was making them in shop class and we ran out of time. The teacher is cool and he would have let me stay there and work on them, but I figured that I need to plan some more. Here's what I have done now, I'll show you the (hopefully) finished product next Monday.
