Alrighty y'all. I figured you'd wanna see my Becker family!

Here they are in order from most used to least used:

BK-16 (my EDC and primary woods blade)

That's it. small but mighty. What next? Maybe a 4 or a 9? what do y'all think?

Thanks for looking!

That's lookin' like a good group. Looks like they are treating you well. I can vouch for the 4, it may or may not blow your mind.

It sounds like the king is Beckoning you. Do you use your 11 with a bare handle like that? Just curious cause most I see have scales or a wrap. I just finished a set of scales for my 11.

Given the choice, I would pick the 9 over the 4 nine times out of ten. But that's just me. Looks like you've been giving the 16 a workout, getting nicely worn in!

I'd say you would do well with a 9. The 5 has you covered in those areas that the BK4 wins over the 9... and the 9... is the 9.

I own both and like both... the 9 is definitely a better chopper, easier to sharpen, easier to baton with. The 4 does many things pretty well but isn't really the winner at anything... short of beheading zombies, maybe. ;)

If you want to take a single knife... the 4 is a good option. The 9, 5, and 16 make a beautiful combination that will cover you from everything you will likely run into.

Where is the 2? I don't think you know Beckers until you break into a safe with a BK2.

Welcome and way to go on your Becker choices there! Is that a "wild" turtle during your out and about? Just curious. Anyways, for the next Becker, how about the BK-9?

Enjoy!

Nice "first" thread NMK... err... CowKiller.;) Next? BK2! Or we, the Beckerheads will descend on your abode with pitchforks!:D

Either the 9 or the 4. I'm not overly biased towards either. I find the Machax chops better and does fine work easier than the 9, but the 9 batons without binding up like the 4 sometimes will and is easier to resharpen; and is generally a better all-around knife. So for me it's sixes. I'll take either. Actually, I usually take both and swap them out as needed.

What's your method of carrying the 16?
And for the next one- a 9, 7, 4, heck just print a page with all of the Beckers on it and toss a dart.

I carry the 16 on the right side high ride in my awesome thrillbilly sheath.

and, that might work, but i might accidentally hit the bk-8... :D

anywho, i think the 4 will be next. Thanks guys.

Ah, open belt carry. Good choice.
Ya, the 8 would be a bit hard to track down- talk about a conversation piece though!
Excellent choice.
