Back in April I bought a Craftsman small stockman from Vanguard41xx, and immediately found it to be one of the most pocketable and useful knives I own. So, he wasn't altogether surprised when I expressed interest in the Sears Craftsman peanut he listed for sale last week.

It arrived today, and I am once again very satisfied.

I confess to enjoying smaller knives, and these two just make me smile.

That peanut with the long pull main and nail nick secondary is very nice. I am really liking the looks of the crafstman knives. Great combo Doug  sure you will get many of years of use from them.

I gave away to a good friend a large Craftsman stockman with white/cream scales and square instead of round bolsters . It was some sort of anniversary or commemorative etched version. It was a stout well made slipjoint given to me by my father-in-law. I'm not a fan of the stockman pattern, but my friend has really enjoyed it. We were taking care of some mutual business this aftenoon and he pulled it out of his left pocket to cut up some food. While munching away he commented to me on how much he liked the gift now after almost 3 years of use.

Thanks for the pics of the other models, guys.

Cool knives, love the swedges and that they're Craftsman. I always enjoy seeing your stockman pics.

Even though I have my share of larger knives, I always like to have a small(er) one on me. It's usually easier to get a Peanut, small stockman/congress, tiny trapper/muskrat etc. out of my watch pocket than it is to fish around in my left front pocket for my bigger knife. At work I usually carry only small knives, the biggest being my White Owl or Conductor, as it isn't a very knife friendly atmosphere. I've pocketed bigger ones, then thought that it would have to stay in my pocket all day and not be used. An unusable knife is just as bad as no knife at all...

I've been collecting Sears Craftsman knives too. My favorite are the Camillus made jigged bone folders that are pre WW II.
Super well made solid knives. have about 50 of them so far.
Here's a couple of examples:

I am pretty sure the yellow one was made in 1977. Its a part of their 50 year anniversary collection. I just aquired a large stockman of the same vintage :)

then again, I could be way off lol

Very nice, medik. I really like the Zulu spear shape to the secondary blade. Very useful.
