Who knew watches could be so much fun!

It's a Wolf Design case. I got it from www.horchow.com but they don't tell you the name. They pass it off as their own..or I guess more accurately as having no brand.

Nice collection! I'd also like to know where the case came from, and how much it cost.

I just got a Casio Protrek Titanium like yours. I always thought that it was too big, until I started wearing my Breitling Chrono Avenger on a daily basis. Now my old Tag Heuer looks like a ladies' watch on me!

Hey sygyzy, don't mean to hijack your thread, but what do others do with their older watches? My Tag was my first "good" watch, and I really like it, but I'd rather wear the Breitling. I can't sell it, because it was an anniversary gift from the wife (as is the Breitling). I always think that I'll wear the Tag, but I never pick it up when I leave the house. What to do?

What kind of answer were you looking for? Your watches are too expensive to just pass off to a friend or nephew. You said you can't sell it. So you really are between a rock and a hardplace aren't you?

I guess you could learn to like them and start rotating. I wear the same watch nearly everyday but I feel bad for the other watches just sitting there so I try to wear them once in a while.

As for the Protrek, I don't think any watch could surpass it in size. If I ever become wealthy enough to afford a Breitling, I'll believe it. For now I'll take your word.

I am sure they will. They are a subsidiary of Neiman Marcus, an upscale US department store. I am referring to Horchow, not Wolf Design.

You can also buy Wolf Design at a few other sites including ebay I believe.

I have never seen anyone but myself with this case. Just remember who started this revolution :)

That actually is not it.

My bad.

That is a nice collection you have. I recently started getting "into" watches myself. They can be as addictive as knives. ;)

Are there any watches you have your eyes on now?

Yes sir.

Nomos Tangente (Wempe Limited Edition)
Omega (SMP or Speedmaster, not sure)
Sinn
Oris
Eberhard
Limes

No specific models. Will probably pick up the Nomos for my graduation gift. I just listed various companies I like. I like a handful of models from each. I am not even going to bother listing ones I could never afford.

What about yourself? Anything you are interested in?

I would like a vintage Tudor Submariner, preferably with the rose dial.

Omega Seamaster.

Never really took a good look at the Tudors but I suspect they might be outside my price range :( Let us know if you get anything new :)

Sygyzy: Thanks for the lead I really like the case:D! Definitely a good deal for the money.
Here is my small collection:

Nice case! I'm assuming the top is glass? Does it come at all into contact with the watch crystals (since the cases are of varying thickness)? I've gone through half a dozen similar cases to keep my EDC's in and none of them hold the bracelets tight enough around the pillow inserts to keep them from "sloshing" around when moved. Even though I still have a few high-end watches, I'm no longer an active "collector" so I don't want to spend $500 on a case. (Not with so many knives out in the wilderness crying my name....);)

Cockroachfarm: It is leather, with a glass insert. The top comes nowhere near the crystals, but there is quite a bit of space in the compartments (you can see at the top of the box in the photo I posted--sorry about the low quality) so watches definitely "slosh" around :(. But the case was only $60 with $10 for international shipping (I don't know how they figured that out, the postage stamp was marked $29 and change :D) so I am really happy. As you say, too many knives, watches and recently flashlights;)waiting to be bought.

Sygyzy: top: Chronosport automatic, Tag Heuer Monza Claibre 36, 1930's Breitling, Movado (quartz, but I've had it since university days).
bottom: Speedmaster (manual), Vulcain Cricket (1940's?), Croton (I like this watch for it's inscription: "To President Walter from L.I. City Kiwanis 1944")

Thanks for the roster list Sakugenken!

I personally don't like that many knives. I have 6 which fills out half of my Bills' case and I really only want to add a Sebenza and a few BM's then I am done.

And same goes for flashlights. After a E2E, there is not much else that catches my eye.

All my money is going towards watches now.

I always seem to say the same thing to myself; "Just one more_____, and I'll be done." (with knives it is a nice OTF) Then the next bauble catches my eye and...:D
