Hello All,

I already posted this but my post seemed to disappear. I have a Busse SFNO flat grind that I used the other day. All I did was take a three of swipes at a cardboard box and from the tip to about 2 inches was dull. When I say dull I mean dull. I needed to take my course stones from my Sharpmaker to fix it. Now my question is, none of my other Busses knives have responded like this, could this be because of the flat grind?

Any help would be appreciated.

how many time's have you sharpened it? i have found that infi isn't at it's peak till it's sharpened a few time's.

After you sharpen it, go try it again on cardboard again and see what happens. Then report back. ;)

I have an option of 30 degrees angle or 40 degrees angle which one will work best on my sharp maker?

I would go for 30, but it might take a LOT of work on the Sharpmaker to change to that shallower angle.

Definitely 30. Did you check the expiration date on that blade? You know if you don't use and resharpen within 30 days of manufacture you run the risk of Busse Under-optimized Martensitic Regression (BUMR). Once that sets in, your only option is selling to Bravado.
