Those are cool! I carried a Buck 422 on my belt for a few years when I was in college and grad school. I even used it to shock a couple of blacksmith/knife makers who were showing me how they could cut free-hanging manila rope (I think it was 3/4") with their long fixed blade. I asked if I could try and they kind of laughed when I pulled out my little Buck. Then I took one swipe and there was a hunk of rope on the floor.

I used to "plan" to buy more Bucklites when I'd see them in the Smoky Mountain Knive Works catalogs, but I never acted on it, then it was too late!

It was really a hard choice to stay away from 422's...My last one I sent to you Dave ..Merry Christmas!! I just knew I had to put ALL my collecting resourses into 112's to have ANY hope of getting a fair collection by the Gator show and Alanta in 2009... I think I have 37 now and hope for 40.

Bucksway, there going to love you at the Gator show even if you only have 37 112's... That's about 27 more then I have... ...

I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the house, but it would be tough to locate it!

I do have another interesting knife along the same lines, though. It's a Rigid "Black Feather." It has a blade that looks like it was made in the Buck assembly line for a 112 in the early 1980s (no nail nick), but the handle is a pair of black micarta scales with no liners. Its Buck heritage is unmistakable, and it's the oldest "lightweight" folder I own (even predates the Gerber LST).

Someday I'll get some pics of it!

I like the buck lites also, carry one every day for years. I am looking for some Boy Scout lites if anyone has any for sale??

Some of my lites

Well bucksway, I don't know much about them at all... I've only seen a few my self... And I have all 3 ... I think they are Prototypes, well that's what Leroy R said... I guess the guys at Buck didn't like them... But I sure do... I'm not sure how many are out there... Maybe one or 10 or more... We may never know... They first introduced Bucklites in 1984 I know that...
