Can ya believe my son opted to stay in bed rather than come with me and my buddy on this hike today !

I set off from my house in snow, drove to the trail head in driving rain, hiked half way round to light rain and finished the second half to blazing sun, at least Snicker was prepared.....

Some of the trail was crazy, this section just led to a drop off !

Here's the wild bunch in a rare pic where they are all together !!!

Rugged or what !

Here is my buddy, check out the rainbow behind him......

Maisy just tries to keep away from the the other two young pups.....

We followed an interior trail back, the sun was warming the wet moss as we hiked....

As we approached the parking lot the sun was blazing and my buddy was down to his t-shirt !!!!

Crazy weather but a great hike !

More great pics man. The one with the sun coming through and the fog looks ghostly!

You are a lucky guy to have such beautiful country so close to home.

Hi pitdog -

Cool! That is the first shot I have seen of all three pups in one frame.

So, no JK out on this hike? :^)

Thanks for the pics.

best regards -

I actually had my JK Hiker on my belt but my buddy isn't into knives as such so I feel a bit odd taking pics of them when out with him !:o

This was me today, I wasn't going to put it on cos I look a retard squinting into the sun with my trouser leg on top of my boot and my front pocket bulging making it look like I have a hernia !!!!

But anyways ! I'm wearing my Buffalo Special 6 shirt which worked pretty well today with the changing elements !

Great pics as usual, Pit. Maisy seems to like to do her own thing.

here in Idaho, we call that 'drop off' trail. that's less than a 45 degree pitch, you should be able to scramble that stuff pretty easily. I wouldn't do it while it was raining in rubber boots, but barefoot or softsoled mocs it is definately manageable. the ocean is pretty sweet, I do miss that part about living down south...

Great pics as always. Are the dogs by a drop off in that pic with the plaque? Man I would have been nervous.

Snicker is a Jack Russell right? My sister breeds them, they're great dogs.

Snow, rain, and sun all in one day? Sounds like fantastic hiking weather to me. Wild weather swings just plain fascinate me, and they keep the riff-raff off the trails too!

WOW!

what an amazing place!

How anyone would rather sleep and pass up a nice hike in that area is way beyond me.

Thank you for sharing the pictures.
