Here is a 10/22 I've been slowly building for the last year. I call it Mod 0 because there are already several changes in the works.

Specs:
Boyds Tacticool Stock
Kidd Bolt, Jeweled with diamond coating
Kidd Lightweight 16.5" Barrel, threaded
Kidd Buffer
Kidd Charging handle, guide rod and spring
POF Brake (take off that I had lying around, temporary)
Metal trigger group with PC internals
Falcon 4-14 Mil-Mil FFP
Badger EBR Alloy rings
Kidd standard height base

Mods on the way:

Rhineland Leopard stock, I think the proximity of the grip to trigger is going to be helpful for his tiny hands. Plus the adjust-ability will make it easy to grow along with him.

SWR Suppressor. When he saw the rifle he said," WOW, COOL Dad. But, it needs a suppressor!". Who can argue with that???

Switching out the rings to NF Alloy lows, these are too high for his tiny head, and I know someone else who needs them!

A very fun project for me and I think it will be a gift that he will appreciate more over the years. He is only six now, but he has great taste ;)

Oh, and the obligatory Busse content ;)

So sweet!

My first gun was a .10-22 my dad gave me for Christmas 20+ years ago. Still going strong, and still one of my favorite guns, and a Christmas present I will always remember.

Of course, mine was stock. None of the super awesome goodies you have on that beauty!

Would you please adopt me . . . :D

Great gift and training him well. Before you know it he'll be asking for a 300WM.

What an awesome Dad!

I love the Ruger 10/22. That was my first rifle. Oh the memories of walking in the woods and plinking. Good times.

Very nice, wish I had one when I was that young. Better buy lots of ammo,,, :D

What's the can in the last pic? Warlock?

Awesome present. He is going to love it. Just be sure to take him shooting a lot!!

I got my 10 y.o. daughter a Smith&Wesson M&P 15-22 AR rifle with Burris fastfire red dot sight this year. It is what she asked for so who am I to say no. She is already eyeing some Busse knives..... maybe next year:)

My first gun was a 10/22 also.

My dad won it in a raffle when I was 10ish

Not all that accurate but good at getting a lot of bullets out when trying to shoot crow

How do you like it? Not a bad price tag on them? Sorry for the hi-jack,,, :o

I would buy another one in a heartbeat. I have had the opportunity to use what I believe to be a fair amount of suppressors, and while there are better out there, it comes to a point of diminished returns fairly quickly. The SAS has all the right features at the right price. Mine has been 100% repeatable with minimal shift from suppressed to unsuppressed. On my 300WM the shift is 2 MOA, on my MK11 it is 1 MOA and on my POF415 the shift is so small that I don't even dial it. I have attachments for every precision center fire rifle that I own. Tim (the owner) will make an attachment in whatever threading you need at a very reasonable price. He's hard to get a hold of, and requires some patience when you place your order, but in my opinion it is very much worth it.

For fun, more Busse's!!

looks like a future sniper to me:D

Hey, that's my old SHBM:D

funny, I got my girls a stainless 10/22 and the walther p22 to shoot. The 10/22 is such a great rifle.

NICE!

Took my 11 yr old daughter out on Thursday with the 10/22. Blew away a six-pack of Moxie. Also pulled out the FBI milkbottle steel target and dinged that for a bit as well. She had fun. Taking out the 13 yr old THIS thursday. She got jealous. :)

everybody has to have a red ryder, got a regular one for me and a pink on for da misses, and then the 10/22 is a must, one of the best 22's our there...

Sweeet! Beats that doggone Red Ryder any day!

Very best to you and yours!

WOW awesome present....now all you need to do is get the little monster a Busse Battle Mistress next year! ;)
