I've been wanting to forge a golok for some time.I finally decided to make myself one.Here is my just forged Monster Chopper.It was forged from 1-1/2" wide .262 thick 5160.On the bottom for size comparison is my 18" Condor Eco light.

Here is one showing thickness difference.Keep in mind I still have to grind the edge.I'm going to do a full flat grind with convex edge.http://
It already bit as deep into the stump as the machete even without an edge.
