These are great working knives for smaller work around your garden and flower beds. They remove fish heads pretty well, too. They are one of the very top 3 blades in my collection. In my not so humble opinion, a "U.B." marked khukuri collection is not complete if Uncle Bill's better half's special and personal favorite blade is not included. The accompanying photo of my little khuk is your first lesson in Nepali. It reads "Yangdu".7_1.jpg

It should be noted that the above pictured knife and my slightly gudder version of same are both historical in that they are earthquake survivors. When the shop was leveled these knives were being made, several months as I recall later they were found in the rubble and completed in the rebuilt shop.
Pretty cool and special to me.

I also have one of these with Yangdu's name engraved on the spine, which I purchased at the same time as the ones that you and Bookie have, so I would have to believe that mine might also be one of these survivor blades?

And mine too - UB and Yangdu inscribed (and others - the maker?)

I've got two of these beauties. One of the most i underappreciated khuks, IMHO.
