Hello all,
I just received my ATC SpikedHawk today! I have to say it is AWESOME! It was shaving sharp right out of the box. Fit and finish were flawless. Below are some pics that I took of the hawk and one of my throwing area. After using the hawk for about 30 minutes of throwing it was still shaving sharp. I tested its chopping ability on some very hard logs and can honestly say that it outperformed any hatchet that I have ever used. After about 5 minutes of chopping it could still scrape hair off of my arm but not shave as smoothly as before. The edge held up perfectly until the end when I hit a rock beneath the ground and impacted the edge a bit. It fixed up easily enough with a diamond stick. This hawk is truly a quality piece of work. I would like to thank Andy, Bobby and all those that are a part of the ATC. Keep up the good work guys.
Here is a pic of my throwing distance. You can see the hawk to the left of the arrow. The distance is roughly 47(I remeasured,is is exactly 50') I have made some improvements in my throwing
