My spoon attempt and a little surprise I found...

Went camping last week with the family and tried my hand at a spoon. Still a bit ruff but you get the idea.

And an Old Timer I found at an antique store along the way. This is after I cleaned up all the rust and pitting. Sorry for the blur.

my dad has quite a few of those old old timers.. some were from his father and uncles.. good score on the knife and hey, great job on the spoon too
 
Nice looking spoon, just needs to be a little deeper. Great score on the old Old Timer.
 
Thanks guys. I still have some more work to do on it. Just trying to figure out how to carve out the spoon part without one of those hook knife thingys. The knife is part of Ka-Bars new Johnson Adventure line. It's the "Piggyback". It's a neat little knife for light work. China made tho if thats a concern. I like it.
