SWEET!!! I'm jealous! ;) But, I think I may be in line to recieve both the Spyderhawk and the Matriarch for Christmas!! That would rock! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get yours? I'm trying to leave hints for my wife, but I can't find any sites that list them in stock yet.:(

Your best bet (and price) will probably come from Linda (glasshartt@aol.com), but you can also contact the SFO directly. Other dealers will have the 'Hawk soon, if they haven't already received them.

Hawkbill: this is a keeper. Sal mentioned this, the FRN mold haven't got his right name on it. Your Spyderhawk says Endura on it! Keep it so that you got the bragging rights to say that one time that Spyderco didn't get the FRN handle right.... ;)

Calyth> had to toss my glasses on and look again at that pic... you're right... he's one of the lucky few that got one that "got away".

I have got one also with the ENDURA handle . They are nice ,feels comfortable in the hand. I am waiting for another one so I can beat the crap out of it for a full review..

Oh, you can bet I have an extra 'Hawk tucked away (with the original Endura-marked handle). So far, my search for matter in need of separation has been fairly mundane (some plastic straps and that infernal plastic that toys come packaged-in) but the SpyderHawk has handled these with almost scary-ease.

Now reading the Hannibal (the book) had taunt me more to get the Spyderhawk cause he used the serrated Harpy in the book.
The bigger the better, isn't it? ;)

Brian i'm happy for you I know how you love those curved blades my friend.
In fact I kinda want 1 now.
GEEEESHHHH THX and i'd tried not to like it
 Ron

Thanks, Ron! Those re-worked Harpys are still favorites of mine, but right now I'm using the 'Hawk to test it's utility. So far, it has worked well.

In all my excitement, I've forgotten my manners. Thanks Sal, for producing this great knife.

I have gotten my 2nd "endura" handle Spyder Hawk... WOW!!

I need one without the "endura" on the handle so I can beat it up.:D

S/F, Ceya..

Just got an early Xmas present from my oldest kid, he had seen me grinning at Brians Harpys and bought me the Merlin.
Until a cpl months ago i never saw the utility factor with hawkbill blades but now i'm surprised at how handy it is. Ron:D
