two words: yee haw! this is what knives are all about. fit and finish are terrific. my favorite part (i'm sure a few of you would disagree) is the weight. i love the weight of this thing. it feels very solid (tank-like!), and it sets very nicely in the pocket of my Dickies. but boy, it's a very slim ride. so much so that i don't notice i'm even wearing it. it's now the largest folder i own. the size really surprised my friend and i. before it arrived, i was showing my pal Jorge some pictures of the Endura II, and he commented, "it looks small... smaller than your Kershaw (Leek)." i laughed and told him to wait until it came, and then decide how big it was. we both cracked up when i pulled it from the box, and found that it dwarfed any of my other knives.

i won't bother with a review, as so many of you have described this knife better than i ever could, but i'll say this: all of the reservations i had invented have been put to rest. this is a beauty of a knife and will certainly become an EDC. thanks Sal & Co.!

Welcome to the world of stainless Spydies...VERY nice and solid folders.:).

man.... life's funny sometimes. i just got this in the mail today. brought it to my pal's house, and he was flicking it... it goes sailing out of his hands, and now there's an ever-so-slight dent in the edge at the tip. hopefully i can put some use into it, so it's not so unsightly, but i can tell it's just going to haunt me for a while... still a beautiful knife!

KILL HIM!..

Better yet, pick out a new spyderco and make him buy it for you ;)
if one doesn't know how to flick, don't flick a knife.

That Endura II would have been his, and he would be coming out of his pocket for a new one for me.

I have one of the original Endura II models without the dent in the lockback release.

Hi Allyourblood. Thanx for the support and the time to post. I'm glad you are enjoying your knife. Sorry for the scratch.

On the other hand, our knives are designed to be used. The stainless versions will take the most abuse. The first scratch is only the first. Damage to the edge will sharpen away in time anyway. The real pleasure and beauty of a high performance tool is in performing with it.

Fret not, it is but a warrior's scar.

Very nicely put, Sal.

Allyourblood, I understand how you feel. I have just been busy admiring my new s/s serrated Police model...and I feel that the combination of slimness and heft in these knives is really special. It really sets them apart from pretty much all other models.

As a matter of fact, two of my friends who have become "Spydie converts"(as I like to call them) found the s/s Rookie and Delica to be irresistable. These are the knives that dragged them into our world.
