A member asked me to comment on a knife purchased here and intends to order one from the maker. In the profile section a message can't be very long at all. Unable to PM I turned to the General discussion to reply.
The knife for me is a 'regular' offering a knife nut's pleasure to the senses. Thusly.....
The one of mine is BL 6 1/4 OAL 11 1/2. A hair over 3/16 stock. Polished swedge and spine. Fine distal tapper and hand rubbed beautifully. Everything is lined up to the eye. Really nice gripper. The burlap micarta in brown gives a textured look and together with his brass made to look old (not tarnished though) make a sweet combo. When given it's sheath of fine grain ,skinlike, suple yet beefy leather it is touchy feely in and out of it's clothes. This one shows an almost unperceptable steel 'grainy wave' under the hand polish when it is bent into the light. Luv it.
