Got this in the mail last night. Opened it up and this is what I found.

Nope it's not out of focus. It's a double offset etching.

What should I do? Keep it? Use it? Send it back? Will it/ does it have collector value?

Bladite, Guyon, Boss? What do yous guys think?

I'm thinking double strike coin kinda thing with this knife?

Idk I'm thinking this one may be pretty unique since it's double etched.

I think "steril" must be code for "second" or "it's messed up". "Sterile", on the other hand has always meant (to me), when applied to a blade, as "being devoid of any marks what-so-ever".

Either way, your knife is defective and needs to be sent, postage pre-paid, to the nearest Defective Becker Test Facility, which is conveniently located in my back 40. :D PM me for shipping instructions.

And just think...
If you're were cross-eyed you wouldn't even know it's double etched. :D

See I am of the same mind set; no markings. So to initially see a meeting I was thinking, well crap that's not sterile. Then the blaring double etch.

If I send it anywhere it'll be for something coming back to me or in to being an untouched safe queen. ;)

Lmao

Use it like you stole it!! Does not change the functionality obviously, which is why we buy Beckers in the first place, to beat the hell out of them to the point they ask for mercy (mine never do, they just ask for more logs to split)! :D

I think we know I have no problem asking a lot of my Beckers. I just don't want to ruin what might be a cool collector. If it is. If not I'll proudly use it!!

I could be wrong, but I thought I read a disclaimer on there website saying that some might be marked but most won't be.

What the French?! It says most with ship without markings. How can you say sterile but also might have markings? Disirregardlessly; this one is still different.

Mine was received w/o markings, IOW, sterile.

Your's however is a double-stamp and, IMHO, more collectible.

Yeah I think sterile is being misused here but as others have said use it! Hardly a safe queen.

That's what I'm thinking!

I think it's a BK-48.

Sound logic.
Nick you have the first, and maybe only,....BK48!

Likely made out of D4 steel.

Ah yes. It's a one of a kind!

I've got a beater. It needs my edge put on it though.

I'd use it to piss off people who think they have good eyesight.
