Non-Sparking, Non-Metallic Copper Beryllium blades

Just to be a pedant: they may be non-ferrous, but Copper is still metallic, as is Beryllium (alkali earth metal, to be precise, but still.)

I was about to respond in a similar fashion. First time to hear they made such a blade. Nice knife nonetheless.
 
What is the Rockwell of that stuff? How does it stack up to regular steel?

i suspect it is a coating.

copper/berillium is fairly soft i believe. it was used (and may still be) in golf clubs by ping for many years because of the soft "feel" it produced.

if they are solid copper/berrilium, perhaps they could be heat treated to a usable hardness?
