So fellas what's next for my sub-40 collection?

Why cap your limit at $40? There are some EXCELLENT folders %100~.

Sub $40 check out the Ontario RAT-1, Utilitac 2, HK Pika 2, Kershaw Skyline... Almost any Kershaw under $40 is a good value.

Spyderco Dragonfly
Spyderco Persistence
Spyderco ambitious
Kershaw leek
Kershaw chill
Kershaw compound
Kershaw scallion
Those are just some of my faves under $40

Kershaw Skyline
Kershaw Cryo
Kabar Dozier Folding Hunter
Maybe a Kershaw Blur at that price if you know how ... to bid.

I'm sorry if you misunderstood.. I don't have a spending limit of 40.. I have knives that I have spent much more on. I'm a fan of collecting knives with a great value.. Looking to expand my sub-40 collection. :)

Oh, and I do own the Dozier folding hunter as well! Can't believe I forgot...

They are pretty cheap and not very well known so I thought you might find them interesting

Wicked thick stainless steel blades, textured G10 handles, deep carry pocket clips, functional blade shapes - what's not to like about the Bad Blood Folding Knives? Produced by Hallmark Cutlery and designed by custom knifemaker Sean Kendrick, Bad Blood is a new brand looking to find a niche in the tactical folding market. The quality is definitely there on these knives with excellent quality control coming from China. Their stout blades, excellent designs, good ergonomics, and superb fit and finish make these folders serious contenders for your duty gear considerations. Best of all, the price point for these Bad Blood knives makes them easily some of the best bangs-for-the-buck on the market today.

My top picks would be Cold Steel Large Voyager and Victorinox Outrider or similar model. I like the ergonomics and build quality of both. Designed more for comfortable using instead of being super thin in pockets and both allow you to choke up on the blade - more important/useful than a flipper to play with.

Like them better than most $80+ folders which usually have better edge retention but not necessarily anything else.

+1 on the kershaw skyline, after that knife the only time I stray from Kershaw/ZT is if they don't make a knife for a specific purpose I want. For example I wanted a small knife to fit comfortably in my watch pocket with a good blade steel. Had to go with spyderco to fill that roll.
