Hey fellas,

I made a mod to some of my khuks. Well, not a mod really, more of an addition. I purchased the newest Gerber and a smaller Winchester multitool and wanted to attach them. Fortunately, without any measuring, the loops at the back of the nylon holsters fit the frogs perfectly.

Now, wherever I go, I am there...I mean prepared.

Hmmm, however, I could use a fresh water source, abundant food, Humvee, and whatever female currently holds my fancy.

Say, anybody interested in making something similar for me in kydex?

Cool, how did you get the loops on the tool pouch onto the frog? Did you take the frog apart? I'd like to put my multitool there but I can't figure out how to get it on..

Hi bbulat
Just a thought on survivalising ones favourite kuk,how about winding several yards of black parachute cord around the sheath, might come in very handy for emergency shelter building and such, also there are two small holes in the sheath which you will find taylor made for one of those little fire starting
rods that you can buy from outdoors suppliers along with a small ceramic sharpening rod for the other hole in the top of the sheath! I shore wish the sarkis would make some sheaths with inbuilt tinder pouches!

Bbulat will you please take a closeup showing how the sheath for the multitool is attached to the frog? I don't quite understand what you have done but it is one heckuvan idea!!!!  :D

I don't think my camera can take that close of a photo. The nylon tool sheath has a belt loop sewn on its backside. I simply removed the frog from the khuk sheath, unthreaded the opening of the frog, and slipped the nylon tool sheath onto one side of the open frog. Then rethreaded the opening and slipped the frog back onto the khuk sheath. Tada!

Doh!!!! :o
When I read your OP I read it that somehow the sheath was laced on instead of slipped over the frog and then re-laced. :o

Still one heckuvan idea and if you laced the frog up from the back side it would be fairly easy to remove if you wanted to carry the multitool separately, either that or simply buy another sheath for the multitool.;)
Sometimes with my background I tend to make things too complicated. :o :D

Yes, or make a new frog with the sheath attached. OR rivet a spring clip to the back of the sheath and slip over frog.
