I have some pictures and words to come... For now.... This Steel is incredible... The blade grind is so sharp... Its very tough so far... Better than any of the dozen S30V blades i have owned....

Oh, c'mon trimcut, in that weird red light, that Blur could be ANY version. How are we to know for sure that you actually have an SG2???:D Send it to me for a quick inspection, just to be sure;)

I could use a few more anyway....

You can simply tell by that temper line you see on the blade.....:D:p
What TF is up with the pictures being the same... I gotta fix that..

Back to normal...
Can any body help me with a shot to show the blade grind... Just the profile of the blades edge... My camera cannot pick it up??? Piece o crap....

Come on jm...I spotted the temper line even in that light! (However, my first thought was the light might hide certain "marks") But they would have been on the other side of the blade I do believe!

As far as use.... I have used it for the following...
Chopping limbs...
Rope
Cardboard
Wood
Plastic straps and food prep for the past week or so....
Blade stayed extremely sharp for about 1 week of heavy use.... But i did use it untill the edge was almost flat... And even then it still cut cardboard very well.. probably because of the blade grind....
No chipping... or rolling of the edge.. Even with some light chopping.....
Lockup of the liner is as solid as any framelock i have owned....
I also have a couple extra sets of liner locks... Torsion housing, torsion bars, washers, thumb studs, backspacers, body screws, pivot set.. and a few clips... I dont think i will need anything else but the sharpmaker for a very long time...+
Hmmmmm.. what else?

OK Ok, I know the temper line is visible. Trimcut, you obviously have NO sense of humor:p:D

In all seriousness, the SG2 Blur is one incredible folder!! Slicer supreme;)

Very nice:thumbup:

better hurry, its not being made and becoming harder to find. and SPX is buying them all up for some crazy experiment.

That's right bucko! Have you heard of them scientist dudes with their super collider thingy that might make a huge black hole? They ain't got nuttin on me! Wait until the specific gravity of SG2 builds to critical mass in this part of the mountains! No one will be safe!

Bwahahahahah!

Those are great pics,
But what i was referring to was ...
Hold the knife in your hand flat with the spine down... Look down the leangth of the knife from the but of the handle... So you can see how thin the grind is ... Also hollow ground...
Of that does not make sense.. I can post a blurry pic of what i mean...

I know what you mean now. I'll snap a few tomorrow in the daylight.

I really love the way Kershaw does their hollow grinds...That's one of the reasons I'm so fond of the ENER-G's!
