My Swiss Army knife Story

Way to go Dude! Don't want to scare them all away now, do we? Which reminds me of days when I thought nothing of giving away simple 2-bladed SAK's as gifts to departing female collegues. They never did gave me their phone numbers though! Perhaps its time I resume the practice of past on newly aquinted females? Only now I think I'll get the smaller ones in pink or something, and much cheaper too I figure.

>>>"... the girls immediately commented that the delica was a scary piece to have in my pocket."

=======================

You do realize, of course, that you missed an opportunity for an all-time great come-back line, right? :p

He did have a come back line:

"I responded that it was simply a tool, not a weapon, and most American guys we know carry one as such."

It was humor, frank k. I was thinking more along the lines of:

"... the girls immediately commented that the delica was a scary piece to have in my pocket and I told 'em it wasn't nearly the scariest tool in my pants."

Hey, Ringo, how 'bout a rimshot! Get it!? Get it? Oh, hell .... nevermind. :(

I believe that "scariest tool" can be classified as a multi-tool

I thought his come-back was funny enough for Canadian girls….but you're right, he could have been funnyer....maybe next time....:foot:

Is it actually illegal to carry a locking knife there?

Young girls who are afraid of pocket knives are not typically the best source for legal advice.

Well actually, one of their bfs who was there told us. I think it was something along the lines of anything over 2.5 inches with a locking blade. And the hole in the delica was considered an assisted opening therefore a big no no. He wasnt an ass about it though. He's a chef and he actually cooked us a thankgiving dinner, real nice considering he's Canadian.

How dumb is that.

Haha, I should of said something better in restrospect. Something like, "this 3 inch blade is just a backup to the real scary thing in my pants".

I gave one of my gfs a pink classic not too long ago as well. She seems to like it.

You want to know something REALLY weird? None of these girls have ever SEEN a gun in real life. EVER. They think IM weird for seeing them and firing them on a regular basis.

Couldn't get any crazier than that, I suppose.
BTW, Has anybody found out just how large an axe does a regular Canadian dude pack in the woods then?

And after the ban they will never have a chance.

From what I've heard and read, Canada is sort of like England. Just about everything is illegal. They have a law if they need one to use against you. All I would carry in either Canada or England would be a demure SAK. And that's it. Anything more these days is asking for trouble.

..it is NOT illegal to carry any locking blade of any length however that being said-don't be an a##hole and do something stupid/criminal and get stopped/charged by LE.They'll then say that you are carryinga a "dangerous weapon"etc. In a nutshell :Canada-"That which is NOT allowed is forbidden"-that's how so many of our rights have been eroded.Don't let this happen to YOU! American friends.:thumbdn: :thumbdn:
