I'm sure many of you may have seen this particular knife if you search the Mini-Grip or Benchmade threads, but in my looking I've yet to see some of the same aspects of this knife on other custom scale knives. This was my own scale profile and utilizes 3 layers per scale. This started as a possible shortcut method to inlaying the Mini-grip liner without carving out a recess (or milling out if you have that equipment). Instead I thought it may be easier just to trace the scale on G-10 of the appropriate thickness and just cut out the liner shape and simply epoxy it to a liner or directly to the scale material. I then did the same thing for the omega spring recess by cutting out the correct shape in a second liner. I epoxied the two liners and the scale together for a complete scale. While this does not require milling, it does require special attention to aligning the two liners together to insure they are correctly positioned while drying. I would easily admit this process is equally as challenging as milling/carving out the recess; since I have done that as well. Anyway, it turned out pretty good....
