This is another great tool for us to use in the woods. It is a little time consuming but well worth the effort. I think that split wood works the best for this fire. Twigs are faster to prep, but don't get as hot as fast. This fire really shines when it is pre-made and staged for latter use. Once the structure is made it can be protected with a tarp and be at the ready indefinitely. This attribute make it a great choice for a signal fire or as a base for a smoke generator.

Consider this also. You are in your winter camp and going out for the day to hunt, fish, or trap. You can pre rig this fire for an emergency in your camp. One match or road flare and you will have a hot fire in a couple of minutes.

I did not take a lot of pictures, kinda forgot. But I did get a few.

Nice video, I make these when I am expecting to get back to camp in the dark and want a fire going rather quickly.
