My Teacher Collects Knives!!!

Ok, today in biology class (I'm in highschool) we were doing an experiment with macromolecules. During the experiment we were testing with thinly sliced potatoes. The teacher was cutting them up in class, and the knife I saw him using looked familiar. I looked closer and it turned out to be a Benchmade Nimravus!!!!!! He collects benchmades. That's 4 people at my school who collects knives (nice ones)
 
When i was in school alst year, I had a tracher who does fencing, makes VERY NICE swords, and had the odd pocket knife (gerber) i though that was cool

I presume you asked him about it? What did he say?
 
I did ask him, and showed him a coupe of my knives. (through pictures...stupid knife laws) and we talked about knife stuff.

Was he just a simple knife user who happened to have a good quality blade, or is he an actual knife nut?
 
Dude, Awesome! Glad to know there's at least one armed teacher there. Not, to convert the rest of them...
 
I saw him totin it around in his pocket and knew exactly what it was before he had it out. We didnt really have time to talk knives after class but i found out he also owns a Morpho butterfly knife. Knew favorite teacher by far.
 
Lots of teachers use knives. Some collect. They aren't any different than anyone else. I'm confused. Are you Knifecollector or TotalDBag? Or both?

Maybe you both can talk knives. Always good to establish more than teacher-student relationships at school. We all get older and after you graduate, those teachers just become people again. But they are always Mr..... or Ms....
 
With the ridiculous rules now I'm surprised your teacher wasn't fired for having a knife at school.
 
:cool: Like wow, outtasight. Now you know that teachers can be human beings, too - at least a few teachers can be. I am glad to hear that your teacher, your school and your community seem to have a realistic outlook concerning knives in the school - they are useful tools, not just weapons.

I'm a high school teacher and I collect knives. We don't just all go home and study our content areas all night:)
