My Techno is now the most buttery smooth knife I own

This little guy, which I've always loved but didn't carry for awhile, is now somehow smoother than my mid-techs and high end production folders. I did disassemble it a couple of times for cleaning (yes, I know about the warranty) and I used some CRK fluorinated grease the last time. I think somewhere along the line some nano-oil might have been used. Maybe it's just incredibly well broken in.

In any case, I'm here to tell you that this thing deploys better than anything else I own. It's a joy just to open and close it, and it's now back in the rotation and it's going to stay there!

Edit: I should note that it was always smooth but now it's off the charts.

Now I'm wondering whether I should by a Slysz Bowie.

Me too... me too.
Been pondering it for awhile now. Don't know why, but I just haven't pulled the trigger.
Kind if waiting to see what this possible upcoming Nirvana might be about...

And gotta love something that only gets BETTER over time! Love my Techno. Kind of wish it had a little flipper nub, but can't complain. :)

Mine is in pocket today. Its become one of my favorite knives to EDC. I'm also keeping my eye out for a slysz bowie. But the techno is such a smooth knife!

I've had a few of these, but they come and go without me using them. I finally purchased a NIB one from a knife-shop and am keeping it forever, I hope. I'm trying to NOT sell this thing; I realize how good of a knife it really is.

I completely agree. Mine has always been velvety smooth whether opening slowly, or a rocket fast deployment...and I've used no special lube really. I still think the most amazing thing about this folder (aside from it's superb build, and materials) is how well it slices for a 4.5mm spine?! it simply defies logic in it's cutting ability, no doubt due to such a thin grind behind the bevel and acute reduction of blade stock from the spine down.

Truly my favorite EDC folder over the last 2+ years...and still amazed every time I use it for how well it cuts and slices, even though it's appearance would suggest otherwise...really just incredible!

Also...in over two years and LOTS of use I've NEVER ONCE made any adjustment to the pivot or dissembled, and it is just a solid as day #1, with no blade play at any axis, no lock bar movement, or lock stick EVER!

It's slicing ability amazes me as well. Just looking at it you'd think it would absolutely suck at that task, but it excels.
