This last week I visited two of my sons, who live in Liberty Hill, TX. While there we went to the nearby Winkley's. Right by the register is a large Case display, but what caught my attention was some Moore Maker knives by the Case display. When I went upstairs I found another countertop Moore Maker display. And some of them are older Queen-made knives. I couldn't resist and walked out with this black bone 5301 that was made in 2009:
In that case are at least two other Queen-made knives, a larger stockman in red bone (it looked to be about 4 1/4" but it might have been larger) and the three backspring whittler. They had a number of delrin-handled Moore Maker knives (not sure if they are the older Camillus-made or the newer Bear-made, I didn't take a close look but noticed that they have three handle scale pins, if that makes a difference). They also have the new bone-handled trappers with various Texas-themed inlays. I'm not sure who makes them, maybe Utica? The fit and finish is good and the snap of the one I examined was about a 4.
