This last week I visited two of my sons, who live in Liberty Hill, TX. While there we went to the nearby Winkley's. Right by the register is a large Case display, but what caught my attention was some Moore Maker knives by the Case display. When I went upstairs I found another countertop Moore Maker display. And some of them are older Queen-made knives. I couldn't resist and walked out with this black bone 5301 that was made in 2009:

In that case are at least two other Queen-made knives, a larger stockman in red bone (it looked to be about 4 1/4" but it might have been larger) and the three backspring whittler. They had a number of delrin-handled Moore Maker knives (not sure if they are the older Camillus-made or the newer Bear-made, I didn't take a close look but noticed that they have three handle scale pins, if that makes a difference). They also have the new bone-handled trappers with various Texas-themed inlays. I'm not sure who makes them, maybe Utica? The fit and finish is good and the snap of the one I examined was about a 4.

Nice find! Liberty Hill is only a couple of hours from my house, but they seem to have a far better selection of knives!!

Oh man, I wish I knew that you were about 25 to 30 minutes down the road from me!!!!!:(

Next time you're there, have a burger at Majors, right on rt 29.

Better yet, let me know I'll buy ya lunch.

We drove through Georgetown a couple times while I was there.

I'll probably be there again some time next year. My son is trying to get me to move there. I like the area.

YES, move.

I'll tell you honestly, since our move here from Maryland in 2015, there hasn't been a day when I haven't said; "Thank God I'm in Texas." Vastly different than the Peoples Republik Of Maryland!

Great BBQ, great people, Great climate, and ALL of your rights.

I liked the area. However, I have to convince my better half that it is a good idea to move. Her family is here in Kommifornia, and she does not want to move away. We have one daughter still here (with four grandsons), so that is also a reason my wife wants to stay here. We have two sons in TX, a daughter who recently moved from TX to Louisiana, and one son in NY. I just want to be near at least one of them. Although Kommifornia is not exactly a great place politically, at least my county has no problem issuing CCWs.
