My thanks, and a question: To Ban, or not to Ban...

First: As I posted a short while ago, I went through some HORRIBLE opiate withdrawls from a prescription I had been on for a long time because of a back injury. Some of you posted wishes and good thoughts online, and many more of you sent me PMs and e-mails wishing me success and giving me encouragement. My heart-felt thanks to all of you.

Now, on to INFI-business. I have an AK47 which I'll probably have Banned. I am considering whether or not I'd like a convex edges. Does anybody have any experience with cutting flesh with a convex edge? In using Busses in the kitchen, does a convex edge go through meat easier or more difficult than a V-grind? Which edge would hold up better if it struck bone, a convex or a V-grind? There are any number of large animals up here I plan to hunt, I may try using my AK to help make field quartering easier which means cutting through flesh and bones, sometimes substantial bones. I do carry a saw and I'm sure I'd be using it for most bones, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience which type edge would hold up better under that type of use.

I have a Cheness Ko-Katana which I've loved since I got it many years ago. It handles tatami with ease, and I've loved its handling characteristics. I'm really interested to get back into society so I can see how my AK47 will do with some exercises.

Oh, and my NEW OFFICIAL HOG NAME: skmoHOG!!!

I've seen chopping vids of both Cheness blades as well as an AK47 and would really like to hear some hands on field comparisons.
