Couldn't resist getting another of Alan Davis' liner lock gent's folders. This one is the smallest and, with a thin 2.75 inch blade, it's pretty much CRK Mnandi size. I consider this to be a near perfect small gent's folder and, like all of his knives, fit and finish are great. What attracts me to this particular style is that he makes them look almost rustic or old-fashioned, for lack of better terms. They are something I could imagine my grandfather carrying when I was a child. Love the style, the coloring of the Mammoth Ivory and the Mokume bolsters. Here are some pics:

That's a very fine looking trio you have there. Alan sure does make some fantastic knives. I have one of his, a small fixed blade and hope to add more.

I am not a fan of Damascus blades, but Alan's are really nice.

So often loud Damascus makes loud knives, but the balance of the scales, bolsters, and blades in these three is wonderful.

The Damascus here is not what I consider loud. ;)

I particularly like the large one.

I, on the other hand, LOVE Damascus blades. And the one's d.r.h. posted are terrific. I just picked up this one from Alan. It's my first. But it won't be my last:
