Hey folks,
I recently finished up my third knife. 1/4" O-1, tapered tang, 11" OAL. The handle is paduak with wenge liners. Rob at knifemaker.ca did the heat treatment. The lovely sheath was made by Stuart Branson. Stu also took the pictures and showed my dumba** how to upload ! Thanks Stu.
Thanks for looking .
Cheers !

Great flowing lines. I like the little bit of belly in the blade. The way the handles are angled at the junction gives the blade a longer working length.

Shant made this for a buddy at work and as I've had the chance to handle it I can tell you that it's very well made. The grinds are very even and symmetrical side to side. Nice centering of the edge and a clean taper to the tang.

Nice work!:thumbup::thumbup::D

Thanks very much everyone ! This making knives thing sure is addictive . I haven't had this much fun since I was a kid ! One of the aspects I like the most is the fairly small cost and shop space needed to get started. One of my favorite threads here has pictures of a guy filing away on his back porch in the dead of winter ! (somewhere east of here). It's that kind of passion, fervour... obsession , that really gets me goin ! And hey, my wife won't shit a brick if I order up that new grinder (unlike that sportster a few years ago).
Have a great weekend !

3rd Knife?

Great, great job. I love the Paduk and Wenge. Those are two of my favorite woods.
