Great knives, super smoothe, one of the easiest knives to operate i own, solid lockup, NO blade play in any direction ,blade steel is easy to sharpen and holds a great edge....Chris really hit it out of the park on this one.:thumbup::thumbup: :)

Im growing on mine, put a small nub box paracord lanyard on it, getting it thru the lanyard pin took awhile :D.

Mark I agree with everything you had to say about the Zaan 500%

I edc mine a Lot.

I'm not 100% sold on it yet, but time will tell. IMO, the knife would benefit from a few tweaks in the future. The biggest would be a wider, more stout lock-bar to eliminate the movement in it. Would love to see a lock-bar stabilizer added as well. This could be easily accomplished by making the pivot on the lock side just a bit larger so it extended over the lock-bar. I wouldn't mind seeing the tip being beefed up a bit more, too.

A thicker pocket clip could serve as small lock stop if it was strong enuff, its already placed right, plus a more seb like lock so I dont fear useing it for anything other than slicing.

New out of the box I could hardly open my Umnum because it was so tight/stiff. Just a few weeks later and that puppy is smooth as butter. I'm loving it after break in.

Now I'm killing my hands/thumbs on a new SNG that's tight... doh!

I like everything about mine as well. I think it has better ergos, looks, thumb ramp, blade design and handle than the sebenza. Only thing I'd change would be a wider lockbar or something to stop this lock bar walking which caused minor play. I think a bushing would make a lot of people happy as well.

Add a bushing and change the lock, and id be all over one. They look really nice, and I love the blade shape. Sadly, i have heard to many negatives for me to pull the trigger on one. I am glad to see some people enjoying theirs so much though. Maybe one day Ill cave, but my seb is gold:)

Mark,My thoughts about my Zaan echo yours completely. Thanks for giving me a great deal on my first one & your mods/embellishments were the icing on the cake!
I gotta say,as much as I love my Sebenza,my Zaan's been in my pocket more.
The one & ONLY thing I'd change about it would be to make it as easy to take apart, clean & lube as the Seb,without having to use more than one tool.Otherwise,It's right up there with the best of the best! One of the smoothest actions ever, bank vault lockup, great blade shape, great steel, edge geometry,ergos....you name it,it's got it!

Now, there's a real valuable piece of info. A year and a half plus of EDC. No probs. Based on some good old experience

More than one tool? Really? Hrmmm...Never had that issue.
