Good Evening.
It is I, the undead rodent formerly known as Vampire Gerbli, heretofore to be known as ¶••?§.

It seems that there has been a plethora of non topic posts here at BLADE DISCUSSION FORUM. For those not in the know, plethora means abuncha.

I think that ParcelKingOfAllCensors is reluctant to lock/move/fornicate these posts due to the administrationial status of the person who's starting this phenominom.
(That last word was spelled right when I typed it, but my ISP messed with it cuz I was late with my last payment, and beat the snot out of the dwarf-dyke that came by to break my legs.)

I know what you're thinking...
"Golly, who is VG referring to?"
To answer your querry, let me remark,
First of all, I TOLD YOU my name is now: ¶••?§ !!!!
GOT IT?
(I'll assume you're nodding vigorously....
Second of all, I am referring to our illustrious HMFIC his own bad seff,
MIKE TURBER!

"Wowzers, Mister ¶••?§, don't you think you're going out on a limb by so visciously attacking Mister Turber so publicly? Are you not afraid of defamation of character lawsuits? And what the hell does HMFIC mean?"

Please, my young and slopeheaded friend, allow me to explain....
I shall start by informing you that you mispronounced my name.
Do not do so again.
Also, do not attempt to have eye contact with me, as that makes me nervous, and when I get nervous, forks start to fly!
As for my "visciously attacking" Mr. T....
Were you even paying ATTENTION to what I wrote?
That wasn't a viscious attack at ALL!
YEEEESH! What're you, a frikkin' DEMOCRAT?
LIGHTEN UP!

And finally, HMFIC stands for:
Head
Mother
Ferson
In
Charge

Now, back to my original point....
Since ParcelOhSoBound2Pleeze is letting Mr T ("I pity the fool that don't wax their carrot to MAXIM!") post as he pleases, others may feel to do so as well.
If Petc., then locks/deletes/sucks those OTHER people's posts, they will whine, "But, MIIIKE did it, so Whyyyyyy can't IIIIIIiii?". And since Petc., is such a loveable little furball, he wouldn't even THINK of banning their whiny little asses!!

Therefore, I felt that I, ¶••?§, should broach the subject and remind everyone that all posts here should have a least a little bit of knife content.
Cut yourself shaving while driving to work in your AH-64?
LET US KNOW!
Nothing that knifeknuts love better is hearing about helicopter pilots having shaving accidents!

Get suspended from a Monastery for carrying a Sifu under your little Monkal uniform?
WE WANNA KNOW!!!!

But posting about presidential stuff and asking about who the trampy little tart in the Maxim ad is (it was I), is really not approriate in this particular forum.

Thank you, I, ¶••?§, have spoken.
Please go back to your normal activities.

Wondering if I'm finally gonna get a raise from the boss for showing how truly fearless I are,
I remain,
¶••?§

Well, there was a BM in the latest maxim, and some Kitchen knives in the previous one...so I guess that counts for something.

Is it safe to assume that it is better to be the Ferson than the Fersee?

Ohh, I wasn't going to subscribe to Maxim, but now that I know there was a BM in it, your not going to stop me.

VG,

It is always hard to tell if there is any seriousness to your posts....

Do you really have balls much bigger than the common rodent and are willing to hold the powers that be to there own rules? Or are you just the cute fuzzy family pet that many of lost interest in as youngsters...?

If you are for real, I applaud your courage. If not, at least you opened a good can of worms! (Do gerbils actually eat worms?)

Is the Blade Discussion Forum now open to political threads? Is it now a place to sell magizines? (Maybe those little kids will now stop knocking on my door on Sunday mornings...) Or do we just need to bestow the balls of a gerbil on it's current moderator to get it back to knife content?

Michael

I'm sorry VD...or...um...whatever but I don't think your topic is really on topic either.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

The scary part is that I'm starting to understand the posts by the rodent formerly known as VG(wasn't gonna pronounce that new name).
Michael, yes he does have balls. His wife keeps them in a jar on her nightstand.

Well Mr. ¶••?§,

You most certianly have a valid point. I for one don't like to see non-knife subjects in this area of the forum. In defense of Mr. Turber and no one else, (like he really needs someone to defend him), his posting was promoting financial support of this forum. We have seen this discussion rise before and I believe that the general concensus was that Mike Turber (a name with actual letters) owns this web site and is free to do as he pleases. Several of us also agreed that he needs to be able to fund this site keeping it free of charge for members and rodents alike. Maybe he could have titled the thread as "Administration Information" or something that would set it apart both supporting the site and not inviting non-knife content posts as well.

Thank you for bringing this subject to light. I am sure Mr. Turber appreciates your support.

In keeping with general forum rules, a week ago I was returning one of my Busse Combat variants to it's sheath without paying attention to exactly what I was doing. Now I have a nice little slice about a half inch long across my left index finger and it even bled. A fact I thought you would enjoy.

Have a nice day.

Ya know, sometimes it is a real Hoot to get up in the morning and check the forums

I agree with VG 180%. I don't think the presidential thread, or the Maxim ad threads are completely appropriate. In particular, I would have moved the presidential thread to politics without even thinking if it had been posted by anyone other than Mr. T. And the Maxim stuff is unecessary, and seems to tick some folks off. But it does give them a place to express their thoughts about the banner ad.

The general forum is a tough place to moderate because although it is supposed to be about knife discussion, some threads are more Community oriented. I could agressively move these to the community forum, but the plethora (good word VG) of locks appearing in the general forum would invite another form of controversy.

I do wish people would use the community and the politics forums more. If everyone would use them the way they are intended, the complaint that a post in those forums will not be seen by everyone would not so true. Use the community and political forums for their intended purpose and the whole site will function better.

I will continue to move posts to the appropriate place. But Turber is a special case. Unless he tells me to treat his threads by the same standards I would apply to others, I'm going to leave him alone. After all, this is HIS sandbox we are all playing in

I thought it was kind of nice to see how "compassionate" conservatism really is, and what good winners Republicans are. Of course, I'm one of the two people on this board who didn't vote for George Bush's son uhm, I mean, err, "W", who as we all know is his own man, who valiantly served in the Air Texas National Guard, had nothing to do with the S&L scandal, is not beholden to special interests, has never executed an innocent man, and can occasionally form a complete sentence without help from his handlers.

Libertarianly Yours, Burke

Kudos to VG for hitting the nail on the head. While the Maxim thread didn't bother me, I thought the presidential stuff had no business being here. Of course, it looks like I'm one of the two people on this board who didn't vote for George Bush's son uhm, I mean, err, "W", who as we all know is his own man, who valiantly served in the Air Texas National Guard, had nothing to do with the S&L scandal, is not beholden to special interests, has never executed an innocent man, and can occasionally form a complete sentence without help from his handlers.
Independently Yours, mnblade.

Well....Leave it to VG to be the one to bring this up!

I thought about these posts also...If anyone else would have done this they would already have gotten their wrists slapped and told about this the first day. And the post would already have been moved.

Shame,Shame,Shame on you! Your own rules!!

I, too, am starting to understand the Gerbil, which is akin to finding an O'Henry nuance in a Three Stooges movie, but I digress. True, any thread should have a knife application, but we've become friends and humor and commentary are a part of that fabric. If I don't get a return 'burn' from Classified00 or Chang, I feel that I didn't try hard enough to make my point. And to the Rodent Formerly Known as Gerbil, I say onto you the same loving message I said onto my Uncle Carmine..."You're scaring the children, put your pants on and come away from the highway..."--OKG

OK guys, I just locked an moved a couple of errant threads to the community and political forums. Mike's Maxim thread stays so folks can comment about the new banner ads if they like

Let the criticism for Over moderation begin!

Funny that the most immoderate amongst us would request More moderation
