First let me say that since i started collecting 8 months ago, i've been totally broke. That being said, i think i put together a pretty nice collection and i wanted to share some of my favorites.

Here's how i decided on my top 11 pocket folders ... i broke it down
into 3 categories - in order of importance.

First, which knife do i reach for most without thinking about it.
Pure gut. Or feel. It's your buddy.

Second, practical use. Which in my case is cutting boxes, presentation
boards light rope and such. (some i won't use, which i also took into account)

Third is fit and finish, and overall workmanship.

The top for me was earned by the strider pt cc. It disappears in my pocket. The choil awesome. I love the blade shape. It's very sharp. You can flick it open w/thumb stud or use the hole... And, it is the overall winner in my humble opinion. (Now some may disagree with the order here...If so let me know!

So what's your #1? Thanks for lookin' Enjoy!

damn thats a very respectable collection you have there.

i really like that #8 knife, never seen that one before. #11 is awesome too.

Based on your criteria (buddy, practicality, fit and finish), I'd have to say the stainless Delica. It does not seem to get much love around here, but it has the ergos of an FRN Delica - which are hard to beat - coupled with the machined, mechanical feel of something a machinist would fashion. Its hefty yet thin, slides in and out of your pocket better than FRN, and just feels like a quality piece of machinery.

You aquired that in 8 months? No wonder your broke.

How true indeed. I'm feeling my wallet get thinner and thinner, but it's just hard to control the addiction. I'm constantly thinking about my next "fix" even though I have 2 knives on the way :o

That's a great collection though. I really really like #8 and #2. This makes me want some new folders again . . . I was content with my collection just a few minutes ago.

I love burchtree knives. This one is a little maniac. Flips so fast and it has spalted scales. The thick 1095 steel is buttery in feel. The #11 came to me very utilitarian. I polished some of the beadblast off on the insides. It opens and closes nicely now. Tough little bastard.

I think I would take the Seb as #1, the PT as #2, the XM as #3 and the Dozier as #4 on this list.

Don't have first-hand experience with the others, but some of them look nice!

You ain't kiddin'.

Now i'm on to fixed blades:eek:

Nice collection.

I actually think fixed blades are cheaper to obtain since there aren’t quite as many variations as there are in folders. You should be able to afford THAT bunch in 4 months.:D

Nice collection. All nice knives but the ones that stand out to me are the Sebenza,Dozier and the Begg.
