I now have some carry time now on the Forum Native 3, here are my top 5 favorite improvements:

1. Very nice rounded texturing on the spine, plus anti-slip wedges on the top of the handle

2. finger "landing pads"

3. REVERSIBLE wire clip. These kinds of clips have grown on me, I did NOT like them at first, but I find that they do not catch/scratch things as easily

4. this cool texturing on the butt-end. What's it for? Looks good though.

5. And of course: the maker's mark. A cool new addition

All in all a very nice upgrade to a great knife.

The picture is upside down, but it spells "SAL" . The redesign on the Native was another project from the talented Mr. Glesser.

Another thing I like about the Native III is that the area between the clip and the end of the handle is tapered just a bit, which makes it really easy to grab with a thumb and forefinger to draw out of the pocket. Only problem is I haven't figured out a quick one-handed opening from the thumb/finger draw.

I am happy with my Forum Native III. i think that this is one I'm going to hold on to. The etching is unique enough to make it a keeper.:)

That's why I got two. One to use and one to put-up. Just git mine and so far so good. I have carried the Blue G-10 Native for so long I'll have to get used to the lack of weight in this knife.

Yes I received #006 last week and really like the changes with the forum version. I have been thinking about getting another to "play" with. :)

Sweet pictures! I love the new modifications that this Native has. I need to go down to my dealer and see if he has one. It looks like this one might have a little easier access to the thumb hole than the old style Native?

This turned out to be a nice user. I just received mine and I took #004 to the NH Boy Scout Jamboree this past weekend. It worked great. Everything from rope to food. You know that no one commented on it though. Must be that everyone there is used to knives :)
I'll think I'll get a non-engraved one for my brother. Christmas is coming and he's always been an SAK guy.
