Ahhh, I did this once, I came up with a lot of over priced stuff in antique malls, one over priced knife in a hardware store and nothing else.

They're still out there. SOme out of the way stores still have them, though often they are still near retail MSRP 2004. My local shop has a pack of pre-2001 LB7's and some UH/OT slippies in the back room, hoping I'll come back for them. I may yet. His prices are great. Not "between the cracks on eBay" great, but way below last MSRP. A bit below last dealer cost on the LB's in fact.

As I posted earlier, I stumbled across a few at a good sportings good store in Black Lake, NY this past July. Even though it is less desirable I couldn't pass up a Switch-It. The only one I left in the case was a tiny SP1(??) keyring lockback.

i went to the true value store today and all they had was a case full of CASE. those thing are expensive, like $40 for a little 3 blade, thats crazy. no schrades though, guess ill keep looking.

Ron (relodr36) is out here in Oregon. He and his wife are traveling around the good ol' USA.
Today he went to a store I told him about and bought three 8OTs and some other stuff. He is coming over to my house in the morning & we will finally get to meet face to face. This is the first time I have had a chance to meet another forum member face to face, though I have talked to several on the phone. It would be nice if we could all meet some place and have a big Schrade swap meet! :D :D :D
If we don't spend all day looking at my knives, we may get out to another store or two and see what we can find.

There are still Schrades out there on store shelves, it just takes patience and time to look for them.

Happy Schrade hunting, :D
