Very amateur attempt at paracord wrapping my trench hawk , what do you guys think?

I couldn't work out how to finish the end , this being my first attempt , so I did a series of basic knots and kind of a lanyard . The wrap is very tight but removable for reusing the cord in a survival situation .

Any suggestions on how to better finish the end ? Thanks , merry Christmas
